So I came across this article that is nothing but photographs of geometrical shapes and patterns found all around us. The shapes and bright colors are eye-catching, along with the repetition of shapes in some of the photographs. Many of them are composed in a slightly abstract manner.

Repetition is one of those things that they teach you about in the basic photography classes, and they claim it is one of the elements that make a good photograph. They teach you all of these "rules" and then tell you that it is okay to break them if they don't help your photograph.

Photography is very, very subjective.

Hey everyone! So this has been in the news a lot lately, artist, Richard Prince sold strangers' Instagram photos for $90,000. This has caused an uproar and a huge debate on whether or not what he did was legal. It's true that when you post something to social media whether it be Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, nothing is safe. Everyone can see it. But does that give them permission to take them and claim them as their own? What do you guys think? Here's a link to the article:

Artist Benjamin Grant based his satellite photography project on the Overview Effect. The Overview Effect is a cognitive shift in awareness reported by some astronauts and cosmonauts during spaceflight, often while viewing the Earth from orbit or from the lunar surface (Wikipedia).
