Chelsea Mazur Photography
In the process of searching for photographer's to interview for an assignment in school, I came across Chelsea's website. She is a contemporary, editorial-style portrait photographer that works out of Chicago, IL. Although she spends a lot of time in studio, Chelsea jumps at the chance to shoot outdoors as well. For an example of a shoot outdoors, click the link below.

Seeking Inspiration
Hey everyone,
I'm sorry it's been a month since I last posted, It's been crazy.
Anyway, I have one class this semester, it's a photography business course. I guess it's going to be extremely useful, but I only have one shooting assignment. This doesn't leave much for me to keep my creative juices flowing.
I'm in the middle of finding inspiration for shoots so that I can at least photograph once a week.
If anyone has any suggestions on how to keep my creative juices flowing, let me know.
Much appreciated,
Brittany

It's Been Too Long
Hey everyone,
I'm sorry I haven't blogged in a while. I've had a lot going on.
A few weeks ago I came across an article about fine-art double exposures. The series is titled Human Nature and it is a collaboration between Erica Simone and Jaci Berkopec. The idea is to take a photograph of a human figure and combine it with a photograph of nature that in some way may represent the muscles or even bones of a human. Check out the link below to see how seriously awesome these are.

An Interview with Joel Meyerowitz
So i'm really excited about this week's post. I just found an article that is an interview recently done with Joel Meyerowitz. Joel Meyerowitz is my favorite photographer, so you could imagine my excitement when something new surfaces. Meyerowitz is an award winning street photographer who has been making photographs for 50 years. He had a major influence in changing the attitude about color photography, however regardless of that, reading this interview with him is totally worth it.

Stripped Down Portraits Expose The Problem With Stereotyping Masculinity As Violent
This article is out-dated, but it's a good thing to see. So very often, people pair the terms masculine and violent together, creating a stereotype against men. However, there are men that exist that are not violent; men that are role models to other people.
The goal of photographer, Jodi Bieber, was to breakdown the connection between masculine and aggressive. She spends one to three hours with each subject in order for him to strip down his "invisible armor". For more information on this project, click the link below.
